NetEnt are no strangers to taking inspiration from a number of themes that have proven to be successful in popular culture and their Narcos slot game is just one of their latest titles to follow that format.
Of course, the Netflix TV show has been a hit around the world and has continued to go from strength-to-strength as the seasons continue to come.
By taking on the branding of this game, our Narcos slot review found that there were plenty of things for players to get gripped with!
Following the theme of the Narcos series, the slot game provides players with some top graphics that can all be associated with the game. The action is played out across five reels that each contain three positions.
The game features a 243 Ways to Win format, thus providing players with a plethora of opportunities to earn some rewards when playing with real money. Indeed, bets can be placed from as little as €0.20 per spin, whereas the biggest bet that can be placed is a huge €400!
Naturally, there is a ‘Bet Max’ button available to allow players to place a wager of €400 on the action, although there is the option to adjust the value of the bet as well in the game panel across the bottom of the screen. Other functions available include the ‘Autoplay’ button, which allows for players to set the reels to spin uninterrupted for a set period of time.
Icons available in this Narcos slot game can all be associated with things that fans of the show will have see before. These include weapons, cash, small aeroplanes, Pablo Escobar and DEA agents, Steve Murphy and Javier Pena.
As mentioned, there are a number of Narcos bonus features available that players can certainly make the most of.
One of the first features is courtesy of the game’s Wild. The feature is called the ‘Walking Wild’ and this will see the DEA Badge move from right to left on the grid by one spot before it disappears from the grid; this will happen if no wins are achievable.
The ‘Drive-by’ feature will be triggered randomly and this will see a number of bullets get fired through the grid and they will transform some of the higher-valued symbols into Wilds when they are hit.
The ‘Locked Up’ feature provides players with the chance to win big and is activated when three of the Pablo Escobar icons appear on the reels. These icons will move together and will provide bettors with a random value of between 1x and 10x the bet per spin.
Players will also receive three ‘Locked Up’ spins. This feature will see golden symbols, locked up symbols and blank icons appear. The blank ones will stick, however groups of three or more of the golden and locked up icons will see more icons added or the values of those on the grid already be increased.
The ‘Free Spins’ feature is the last feature we came across in our Narcos slot game review and this is triggered when three of the car icons appear on reels one, three and five in the same spin. Players will receive 10 free spins and the ‘Walking Wild’ feature remains available to trigger. If players can trigger both features at the same time, they will then have the chance to win prizes as big as 1,506x their stake!
