In recent years, the TV program Great British Bake Off has become popular worldwide, and many other TV programs have been copied from its format in many other countries. However, it also seems to have inspired other forms of media entertainment.
Whilst playing the Play ‘N Go Baker’s Treat slot game, it is clear the developers have been inspired by the show, because it provides players with the opportunity to get baking while enjoying the excitement that can be brought by spinning the reels in the slot game.
We found doing our Baker’s Treats slot game review quite enjoyable and it was certainly helped when the game provided many rewards for those who spin the reels!
Gameplay
Baker’s Treats is played across five reels and provides players with the opportunity to form wins across 15 fixed paylines. However, with their generous payout system, players actually have 30 paylines as winning combinations will be paid from either side of the grid.
Bettors are able to spin the reels for as little as €0.15 per spin, whilst those that want the bigger rewards and like to bet high values can spin for a maximum of €75 per turn. Those that want to enjoy the experience without using real-money as a test can do so via the Baker’s Treat Free Play version.
Bets can be set from the betting panel at the bottom, whilst there is a ‘Autoplay’ function available as well for those that want to see the reels spin without interruption for a period of time that they can set.
The icons in the slot game follow the theme, with a number of different cakes available on the paytable. The lowest value icons consist of the macaroons – which come in five different colours – whilst the lemon cheesecakes, carrot cakes, blueberry pies, cupcakes and strawberry sponges are all worth the most. The strawberry sponges are worth up to 40x the bet when five are triggered on the reels.
The triple-layered berry cake is the game’s Wild and this can also payout at 40x the stake when five are landed across the reels.
Feature Bonuses
There are a plethora of Baker’s Treats bonus features available to players, although this should come as no surprise to players that are used to Play N’ Go titles.
There are five Flour Power Spin features, which are as follows:
- Cupcake Power Feature: Three spins are awarded when two reels have matching symbols.
- Blueberry Pie Power Feature: Players are awarded three free spins with one fully Wild Reel.
- Carrot Cake Power Feature: Three free spins are handed to players with all Carrot Cake symbols being turned into Wild Symbols.
- Lemon Cheesecake Power Feature: Three free spins will be cooked up in which all Wilds will expand to create Wild Reels.
- Strawberry Sponge Power Feature: Three free spins are awarded with all macaroons turning into just one macaroon colour.
The Bake Off Free Spins feature will be triggered when five dessert cakes land on the reels in one spin, and this will then trigger one free spin for each of the Flour Power features in consecutive spins.
Once these finish, players will then get a Bake Off free spin if one of the dessert cakes lands stacked on its reel during the feature. An extra 10 free spins will be awarded if this happens!
RTP (return to player)
Our Baker’s Treat slot review found that this particular Play ‘N Go title has a return to player (RTP) rate of 96.04%. Although the rate is perhaps fitting with many of the developer’s other offerings, this game does have a high volatility level.
